Benefits for 9 Month Employees (1440 Paid Hours)
(School Secretaries are granted 1720 hours per school year per Principal approval)

  • Health Insurance - district pays for portion – Board Benefit $9,420.00 for 2024-2025.

  • District Life Insurance - district pays cost for $20,000

  • IMRF - employee pays 4.5%; district amount changes every year

  • 3 Personal Leave days that can accumulate to 4 - after that any days are added to sick leave

  • 10 Sick Leave days for 9-month people; after 10 years they get 12 sick leave days

    • Sick Leave accumulates to 300 days

    • Days not used are reported to IMRF for credit when they retire

  • 3 Bereavement days are granted per occurrence for immediate family

  • 9 Paid Holidays
    If 1200 hours have not been paid hours, employee will not advance on the pay schedule.

Benefits for 12 Month Employees (2088 Paid Hours Required)

  • Health Insurance - district pays for portion – Board Benefit $9,420.00 for 2024-2025.

  • District Life Insurance - district pays cost for $20,000

  • IMRF - employee pays 4.5%; district amount changes every year

  • 3 Personal Leave days that can accumulate to 4 - after that any days are added to sick leave

  • 12 Sick Leave days for 12-month people; after 10 years they get 15 sick leave days

    • Sick Leave accumulates to 300 days

    • Days not used are reported to IMRF for credit when they retire

  • 3 Bereavement days are granted per occurrence for immediate family

  • 10 Vacation days after employed for one-year, maximum days earned are 20 days after 20 years of employment.

  • 12 Paid Holidays
    Due to the extra days given for vacation, sick and holiday, days without pay are only available after all other days have been used.  If 1200 hours have not been paid hours, employee will not advance on the pay schedule.
